Downtown Development Update

267-277 Main St.

Formally known as Burritt Bank, plans have been submitted for a new development consisting of approximately 90 market rate apartments. This $13 million project will raze the current structure to make way for a new five-story building. Located a block away from CTfastrak, this parcel also falls in the TIF District, Enterprise Zone, and Opportunity Zone.

 

 

Energy and Innovation Park (EIP)

This highly anticipated project will become one of the largest fuel cell facilities in the world bringing hundreds of jobs to the City of New Britain on the former site of Stanley Black & Decker buildings.

222 on Main opened at the end of 2020 with 43 market-rate apartments. The first floor offers 8,000 sq/ft of open concept, immediately available shared space for a restaurant, bar, and/or coffee kiosk.
