Disability Services

What We Do...

We are committed to ensuring that all residents and visitors with disabilities have equal access to a beehive of opportunities, programs, services and activities in accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Whether you are a person with a disability, or are concerned about someone with a disability, you can rely on our office to provide advocacy, care coordination, education, information and referral services.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or services for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a city program, service, or activity, can speak to and/or submit a written request for a reasonable accommodation as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before scheduled event to the Disabilities Services Advocate.

Our office, which is located in Room 301 of City Hall, is easily accessible via the skywalk from the John N. Badolato Parking Garage, level 3A, located at 35 Washington Street, New Britain.

We strive to foster a welcoming accessible community through public development, education, programs and partnerships with public, private and non–profit entities.
