The idea and recipes for the Clam Box were inspired by Augustino’s time working at the old Wethersfield Clam Box, which opened on the Silas Deane Highway in 1965. Augustino purchased 586 West Main St., which was most recently home to West Side Tavern, in 2018.

The menu consists of fresh seafood-related items, including New England clam chowder, oysters on the half shell, fish and chips, whole belly clams, shrimp, lobster rolls, and more. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday) and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Friday and Saturday).
