NEW BRITAIN—Mayor Erin Stewart will hold a Mobile Mayor’s Office on Saturday, Aug. 10 at OIC New Britain on North Street from noon to 2 p.m.
The Mobile Mayor’s Office will coincide with a 100 Day Challenge taking place at OIC—114 North St.— that celebrates the recent accomplishment of housing 41 youth over the last 100 days. The event will feature a mobile farmer’s market, free food, ice cream, music, and several area community organizations offering educational materials.
Stewart has been holding the Open Office Hours and Mobile Mayor’s Offices since she took office in 2013 in an effort to better connect with residents and hear directly their concerns and suggestions about improving the effectiveness of service delivery.
“Bringing City Hall to neighborhoods across our City helps to break down any barriers that may exist between residents and their local government,” said Mayor Stewart. “Residents and business owners appreciate the opportunity to chat with me in a relaxed environment.”
Residents who cannot attend the event can contact the Mayor via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail at: Mayor Erin Stewart, 27 W. Main St. Room 204, New Britain, CT, 06051.
