Commission on the Arts
CALL TO ARTISTS
The New Britain Commission on the Arts has several purposes. Among the most important purposes are to:
- Create and administer the Percent for the Arts Public Arts Program
- Select artists for the Art in the Heart of the City exhibits
- Advise the Mayor on all matters of public art
Members of the Commission on the Arts:
Duane Pierre, ChairmanDuane P. Pierre is the founder and Executive Director of ParaDYM Academy. ParaDMY Academy uses digital, visual arts and science to train students in workforce development and entrepreneurship. Duane serves on the Technology Advisory Committee for OIC of New Britain and is the Chairperson of the New Britain Art's Commission.

The Arts Commission meets at 6:30PM on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at City Hall Room 202.
