2004 Mayor's Trophy Golf Championship

The Office of the Mayor, City of New Britain is pleased to announce that the annual golf tournament for employees is being changed in format and function. While the event will continue to be a fun day for participating city employees, the event will be opened to city businesses and contractors who wish to support a charitable en-deavor, the Community Services Association of New Britain. The Golf Championship will be held Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Stanley Park Golf Course in New Britain. The scramble format will be different than your typical 18 hole best effort event. Instead, competition of varying skills will vie for the Mayor s Trophy. For that day only, the renowned Stanley Golf Club layout will be transformed into a challenging and entertaining target golf facility where your imagination as well as your golfing skill will be needed to win. While these special circumstances will be fully revealed only on the day of the event, each team will be issued special string that can reduce the length of your putts and magic rubber bands that will stretch your drives or get you out of traps. Many more are planned and every team has a chance of winning. Rest assured you won t be disappointed.
