City of New Britain Announces Details for the 7th Annual Rose Garden Festival

New Britain, CT - Mayor Erin E. Stewart, Parks and Recreation Chairman Patrick Dorsey, and the New Britain Parks, Recreation, & Community Services Department recently announced the return of the New Britain Rose Garden Festival. This event will take place at the Walnut Hill Rose Garden on Saturday June 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The rain date for the Rose Garden Festival will be Saturday June 26th.

“The Rose Garden Festival is a flagship event of the summer that residents and visitors alike look forward to every year,” said Mayor Erin E. Stewart. “Attendees are able to enjoy fun music and delicious food among the hundreds of multi-colored, full bloom roses on display at historic Walnut Hill Park.”

Festivities will begin with a live performance by Shaded Soul from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. Shaded Soul travels across New England playing everything from R&B and Jazz to Pop and Top 40 music. The Silver Arrow Band will headline the evening and perform from 7:00pm – 10:00pm. The Silver Arrow Band has been setting the industry standard for event music since 2012. Their musicians are passionate about creating memorable events and filling the dance floor all night long.

“The Rose Garden Festival is one of my personal favorite events that our Department offers,” said New Britain Parks & Recreation Director Erik Barbieri. “We look forward to getting back to a sense of normalcy and community with some of New Britain’s finest restaurants and the vistas that will take your breath away.”

All attendees must be 21 years of age or older, IDs will be required. Parking is restricted to the lower lots at Walnut Hill Park or behind the music shell and there will be a shuttle available to take attendees to the top of the park. Handicap parking will be allowed in the upper lot next to the rose garden.

Tickets can be purchased for $7.00 per person before the event online at www.nbparksnrec.org or through the New Britain Parks and Recreation Department office located at 27 West Main Street, Room 302. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased for $10.00 per person the day of the event.
