New Britain Little League and New Britain Fagan Baseball League Join Together in Monumental Agreement for Local Youth Sports

New Britain, CT – The New Britain Little League and New Britain Fagan Baseball League recently announced that the two programs have come together to form the newly combined New Britain Little League/Fagan Baseball and Softball. This unified league was created in efforts to give young New Britain athletes the best baseball and softball experience possible under one organization. This agreement between the two leagues signifies a historical moment for youth baseball and softball in the City of New Britain.

“The combined New Britain Little League/Fagan Baseball and Softball presents an exciting opportunity for children throughout New Britain who are interested in playing baseball and softball,” said New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart. “The resources these two programs share now that they are one league will allow them to provide an even more positive experience for those who participate.”

Unifying the New Britain Little League and the New Britain Fagan Baseball League involved an intricate process that was made possible by support from the Mayor Erin Stewart and the City of New Britain, New Britain Fagan Baseball League President Aaron Hairston, as well as the New Britain Fagan Baseball League Board of Directors. The open-mindedness from all parties allowed for this combined league to be created, improving the New Britain Little League/Fagan experience for all those involved.

“I want to send a huge thank you to everyone else involved in this process,” said New Britain Little League/Fagan Baseball and Softball President Antonio Velazquez. “Without everyone’s effort, patience, passion and support, we never would have been able to accomplish such an important milestone in youth baseball.”

“The Mayor’s dedication to making the community a better place for youth athletes was much appreciated during this process,” said Aaron Hairston, Co-Executive Vice President of the New Britain Little League/Fagan Baseball and Softball. “We would also like to thank the Parks and Recreation Department for their dedication, as well as Roberto Mercado for presenting this wonderful opportunity and keeping progress moving forward.”

New Britain Little League was founded in 1957. The league provides both girls and boys ages 4-16 years old who live in the City of New Britain the opportunity to play baseball and softball.
