The Department of Municipal Development provides staff functions for four separate Boards:

• Community and Neighborhood Development
• City Plan
• Zoning Board of Appeals
• Conservation Commission

In addition, the Department of Municipal Development may be delegated or assigned tasks by the Mayor relative to community, economic and neighborhood service functions. The Department of Municipal Development reports to the office of the Mayor who has administrative supervision and control of all activities.
